How to make your own contribution
We welcome well-written, objective and original articles from our readers. The main objective is to get to know about stories which would otherwise never come to the limelight. Further, LEAD is aimed at showcasing quality leadership and giving opportunities to young minds to develop on their own and be ready to assume leadership positions. Many original stories and highly skilled writers do not get space in mainstream media unless you are already popular or known to the publishers.
Therefore, if you have a genuine story to tell about an exciting leader or a region or an institution that demonstrates high level of leadership quality, we can consider publishing the article, subject to the approval of our editorial committee. Please note that we do not pay for these contributions. Following are the specific requirements:
- The leadership story you propose shall essentially demonstrate high levels of commitment to improving quality of life, well-being, living conditions, environmental protection, socio-economic development, social and technology innovations that positively change the lives of human beings, etc. A mere success of being number one in certain business or being a highly popular personality wouldn’t meet the requirements to be published in LEAD.
- Since the main objective of the CONTRIBUTE feature of LEAD is to bring to limelight people and organisations doing excellent work but remain unnoticed, article contributions directly or indirectly relating to political and business leaders who are already popular in the mainstream media will not be accepted.
- If you have excellent writing skills in English and ready to improve the article based on our recommendations, if any, you may fill in the form below and submit online, along with a synopsis of your proposed story in not more than 200 words. Please carefully read the Terms & Conditions for Publishing before you submit the proposal.
- You should certify that the proposed article is your original work and that you own the full copyright for the article and that you have obtained the required consent in the appropriate form from the person(s) or organisation(s) being covered. For this, please use the Copyright & Consent Declaration below and tick the box to certify.
- In case, you are writing the article researching through various published articles, you shall provide all the necessary citations. We, however, do not prefer publishing such articles unless it is a story dug out from the past.
- LEAD’s decision to accept or reject an article is final and binding on the contributor and cannot be challenged in any manner.
- At any point in time, if anybody challenges the authenticity or copyright of the article contributed by you, or regarding the consent to cover the story from the person or organisation in question, LEAD will not be party to any such dispute. It will be fully your responsibility to deal with any such eventuality and LEAD, its owners and employees will remain fully indemnified against any legal or financial consequences. You should independently confront the challenge and settle the issue. In the event of such a dispute, we will immediately hide the content, until the issue is settled in your favour.

How to tell a story through a short video, within about ten minutes
If you would want to tell a positive story, through a short video, of how something is done in an interesting, innovative, eco-friendly or people-oriented manner, you may upload your video here. It is okay to submit even corporate videos that are more like documentaries and not advertisements or mere sales talk. It could also be about an upcoming event or competition of sociocultural relevance. These videos, that would fall under the categories listed in the form below, shall be uploaded in YouTube and the link copied and pasted in the box provided in the submission form below. If we find your video suitable for LEAD, as per the criteria mentioned below, we shall approve for public viewing through LEAD pages.
Here again, the story you propose shall essentially demonstrate high levels of commitment to improving quality of life, mental and physical well-being, living conditions, environmental protection, socio-economic development, and social and technology innovations that positively change the lives of human beings, and shall definitively fall under the categories listed in the form below.
Since the main objective of the CONTRIBUTE feature of LEAD is to bring to limelight people and organisations doing excellent work but remain unnoticed, video contributions directly or indirectly relating to political and business leaders who are already popular in the mainstream media will not be accepted. Please note that we do not pay for these contributions. Following are the specific requirements:
- The video shall be of outstanding quality and well-edited. English is the preferred language of narration and titles. If the dialogues and narrations are in any other language, English sub-titles shall be provided to the extent possible. At times, we may recommend some improvements, if needed, before we can publish.
- You may fill in the form below and submit online, along with the uploaded video. Please carefully read the Terms & Conditions for Publishing before you submit your video.
- You should certify that the video submitted is your original work and you own the full copyright for the video and that you have obtained the required consent in the appropriate form from the person(s) or organisation(s) covered. For this, please use the Copyright & Consent Declaration below and tick the box to certify.
- The video shall not infringe on the privacy of individuals, organisations, protected localities or private properties. Standard practices of masking should be employed when the situation demands privacy. You should obtain written consent from any person or organisation you cover in the video and shall share it with LEAD when asked for.
